Facial lines are caused by the repeated use of facial muscles. By reducing the movement of these muscles, using Botulinum Toxin (also known by the brand names of Botox, Vistabel or Azzalure), the skin will stop being continually creased and this allows the lines to soften and even fade away. Results vary from person to person but generally the effects start from day two to day five with the maximum effect at around two weeks. These injections only cause temporary relaxing of the muscle, leaving natural expression but over time, usually around three months, the muscles will gradually regain movement and the treatment can then be repeated if desired.
